The same people that think all Asians are the same and dont understand there's a difference between Japanese and Chinese people and just call them all oriental out of convenience and in ignorance. Now days the only time I would think that word would be acceptable is if someone jokingly said "Negro please?!!!" It's an endearing cultural thing you probably dont understand. WHATEVER!!!

I once knew a guy who was of Irish decent.
Fair skin, red hair, freckles.
His parents are 3rd generation American citizens.
However, they happened to be living in Johannesburg when he was born. Giving him dual citizenship. He is, legally, African American. More so than 95% of Blacks who are 6th or 8th generation Americans. How does he fit in the scheme of "political correctness"?
The term "negro" is not pejorative. It simply indicates someone of Nigerian decent. It doesn't apply to all blacks. Just as I'm considered Swedish, English and Irish, though my family has been here for 5 generations.
